What size homes can I bring in?

Our spaces are designed for 399 square foot park model tiny homes, with room for up to an 8' x 8' approved storage shed.  There is room for 2 cars at each space in an approximate 40' driveway.  

Are pets allowed?

Yes! We love 4-legged friends. There are some breed/weight limitations and fencing factors, so please speak with us to learn more. 

Can I bring my own tiny home?

Yes. We currently only lease spaces for your tiny home.  Lot rent starts at $525/month on an annual lease plan. Your preferred dealer can work with us to coordinate delivery, installation logistics and setup costs.  The tenant is responsible for the costs of connecting the water, wastewater, electric and internet to their homes, but the utilities are stubbed out at your site and we can assist with finding contractors. 

What is provided in the lot rent?

Boxwood provides water from a private well, waste water, trash disposal, land taxes, grounds maintenance, and stubbed-out conduit for fiber internet. City water will be available in the future, but not included in rent. Boxwood offers fiber to the site via 325 Internet and each tenant is responsible for their desired internet plan. 100 amp electricity is on site and ready for you to set up an account with Central Texas Electric Coop (CTEC).

Can I rent a tiny home already there?

Boxwood is dedicated to building and fostering a sense of a community. At this time, we are not renting any tiny homes, nor do we allow short term vacation rentals. However, you can rent a tiny home nearby for a weekend to try it out. Please contact Highland Lakes Tiny Homes for more information.

Do I pay property tax?

No! Boxwood covers the land taxes. Any possible taxes on structures are the liability of the structure owner.

What about storage or a carport?

There are multiple storage facilities in the area, and Boxwood will allow up to a 8' x 8' pre-approved storage shed on your lot.  Carports are allowed upon siting and aesthetic approval.  Eagle Carports has a 12' x 20' for approximately $1600.
